Future stumbling over our doorstep

Do you sometime get the feeling that time runs faster and faster as you get older, well all of a sudden the future just seems stumbling over your doorstep sooner than expected (that time seems to flow faster at older age I believe has got something to do that the frame rate of your brain gets slower with age, but that's another theory I can't even state is true. But the metaphor will suits this post pretty well)

The Natal Milo project.
I find it very hard to beleive it is as flexible as Mr. Molyneux states. Click on the image and make your own mind up. No matter if it's as spectacular as it seems technically. Is the concept of this game pushing the future in direction we want?

C3 - The third dimension
C3Technologies have come up with a truly stunning system that automates the conversion of areal photos into 3D space. Just watch the demo. It gets more spectacular towards the end.

Is this proof of concept of Raymond Kurzweils Singularity theory?

I find these technologies very uncanny and guess they will develop to something even more creepy very soon. However, everyone will probably feel confortable with having a ghost kid in their TV after Milo has been out on the market for some time.

"It’s as if you took a lot of very good food and some dog excrement and blended it all up so that you can't possibly figure out what's good or bad" (Douglas R. Hofstadter, under criticism in the wiki-link). Sounds about right.

Happy birthdag!
